Annual Meeting 2007
One of the primary goals of a land trust is to acquire and preserve open space. I would love to tell you that this year we added to our over 340 acres of land but that was not the case. We have investigated several land opportunities, one of which is currently in negotiation. These negotiations take a considerable amount of time and at this point there is nothing concrete to discuss.
Join us November 15, 2007, 8pm at the Avon Community Center for our annual meeting. Our speaker this year is David Leff with a presentation on “Engaging Children with Nature”.
Mr. Leff is a is a freelance writer from Collinsville, Connecticut and former Deputy Commissioner with the Connecticut Department of Environmental Protection from 1995 until his retirement in 2006. His essays and fiction have appeared in newspapers and magazines.
