Trail History:

The Thompson-Osborn Preserve in Avon, Connecticut, is on land donated by Oliver Thompson, a former Avon first selectman, and another parcel donated by George and Irena Osborn.  There was once a sawmill here along Chidsey Brook. The habitat includes abundant native blueberry, princess pine and mountain laurel.

Wildlife overview:

Visitors may encounter bluejays, robins, cardinals and mourning doves, alongside white-tailed deer, and red foxes, making the trail a lively and captivating spot for nature lovers. Notable plants include mountain laurel, wild blueberry, skunk cabbage, and a grove of white pine.
